The 1913 Isotta Fraschini Type OC4 was a refined luxury automobile representing the pinnacle of Italian engineering just before World War I. Powered by a 4,940 cc inline 4-cylinder engine producing around 36 horsepower, the OC4 featured a shaft drive—an upgrade from earlier chain-driven models—and electric lighting as standard. It offered improved braking with larger rear brakes and came on a robust chassis weighing about 1,100 kg. With only around 50 examples built between 1913 and 1914, it remains a rare and significant piece of early motoring history, showcasing Isotta Fraschini’s commitment to innovation and prestige.

This Isotta Fraschini is a genuine original car with interesting history and with history file present. Type OC4 was designed by engineer Giustino Cattaneo, who, himself, contributed to the restoration of this car, during the times when it belonged to well known Giovanni Lurani. According to the historic records, the car originally had closed six-seat body. Then it was converted into a truck. Later, in 1961, the car was discovered on scrapyard in Novara as a tow truck, having a Tipo 8 radiator, which was later replaced for the correct one. The renovation under supervision of Lurani and Cattaneo was done, the car have been fitted with a body made by Carrozzeria Riva. Chassis nr. 2780 was rebodied in a style typical of its era, resembling a sports tourer or “torpedo”. The engine is running and the car is driving, however, it has been standing for a longer period of time.
